Patrick Dougher | The Madonna of Ethiopia

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Patrick Dougher is an artist, musician, and educator with over 15 years of experience working for community-based arts and social justice organizations. Dougher holds a BFA in art education from Brooklyn College but much of his education has been experiential and gained on the streets of New York City. He has worked as an art therapist at Kings County Hospital, a teaching artist and after-school director at the McBurney YMCA, a counselor and youth advocate at Project Reach NYC, and an assistant curator at The Museum of African Art. Prior to joining Groundswell’s staff, Dougher served as the Director of Groundwork for Success, a community based youth empowerment organization in East New York.
