Exuding Kruger's iconic black, white, and red aesthetic, this unique bespoke stool was initially created in a limited run of 300 pieces, which was then followed by an additional 300 pieces. Each stool is carefully hand-numbered and bears the artist's authentic stamp on the underside. This collaborative project between the ICA and Finnish furniture brand Artek features Kruger's Untitled (Kiss) as the inspiration for a series of artist-designed customizations of Artek's renowned Stool 60. According to Kruger, this endeavor combines her admiration for Aalto's timeless modernist design and her support for the ICA, which first showcased her work in a solo exhibition back in 1983. Reflecting on the vibrant and dynamic city of London, Kruger's memories of the ICA's exceptional exhibition space, stimulating visual displays, and intellectually engaging public events remain vivid and cherished.
